Our hotel is a historic tenement house that was built within the walls of the seventeen-century church of St. Scholastica. In the mid-nineteenth century, a school for boys was established there. Today, it is a boutique historic hotel, whose name refers to the magnificent Juliusz Słowacki Theater located nearby.
The hotel collaborates closely with the theater, offering guests the opportunity to watch performances from its magnificent boxes. The last renovation of the building allowed for the unveiling of the walls of a thirteenth-century church, so our guests will be able to observe elements in their rooms and apartments that are remnants of this old structure. These include fragments of old portals of sharp-arched vaults, 19th century ceilings, and remnants of stonework.
For the guests of Hotel Teatr, it will be a splendid way to immerse themselves in the history of our city. The hotel closely collaborates with the Juliusz Słowacki Theater, making it a frequent choice for the most prominent Polish and international actors who come here to perform on this magnificent stage. As a result, our hotel guests have an amazing chance to encounter these theater legends.
The rooms of Teatr Hotel have been restored with the utmost care and attention to detail, preserving all the historic elements that were discovered. They offer splendid views of the old architecture of Krakow, with nearby churches, the Planty Park, and the lively streets of the city. Only natural materials were used to finish the building, such as beautiful wooden floors and marble tiles. Each room is equipped with elegant, custom-designed furniture, which was specially crafted for the hotel.
The hotel is located in close proximity to almost all of Krakow's historical landmarks. The Main Market Square is 200 m away, and Wawel Castle can be reached by a short walk through the streets of Krzyża, Floriańska, Św. Marka, Rynek, and Grodzka.
